Liberia: Marinica Calls 18 Home Base For June World Cup Qualifiers – Front Page Africa

Monrovia -Liberia’s Men’s senior national team head Coach Mario Marinica has invited 18 home-based players to begin training in preparation for the Lone Star’s upcoming fixtures against Namibia and São Tomé in the 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers in June.
According to a release from the Liberia Football Association coach Mario has put up a  weekly training session that will  start on Monday, 29 April.
Liberia suffered two defeats in their opening fixtures in the qualifiers understand than national team coach Ansu Keita which has made it difficult on paper for Lone to qualify from the group.
Keita men lost to Malawi and Equatorial Guinea at home something that resulted to his sacking.
Under Mario Liberia qualify for the group stage of 2025 Nations Cup Qualifiers by eliminating Djibouti in two matches where Lone Star won 2-0 away and drew at home goalless.
