WORLD CUP QUALIFIERS: Brazil’s Coach Diniz Praises Neymar and Vinicius.

Brazil’s interim coach, Fernando Diniz, is eagerly anticipating the partnership of Neymar and Vinicius Jr. in Thursday’s 2026 World Cup qualifier against Venezuela. He emphasized his efforts in fostering unity within the team.

Diniz assumed temporary leadership of Brazil after Tite’s departure following their World Cup quarter-final exit in Qatar. He will be succeeded by Real Madrid’s coach, Carlo Ancelotti, next year. Despite this transition, the 49-year-old, who also manages Fluminense, aims to leave his mark with the national squad and maintain their lead in the South American qualifying competition.

Diniz praised the talents of Neymar, Vinicius, and Rodrygo, highlighting their intelligence, skill, and mutual affinity. He expressed hope that their camaraderie on the field would mirror their cohesion in training.

Vinicius, typically occupying a similar position to Neymar, rejoins the squad after missing the initial two qualifiers due to injury. Diniz commended their positive initial interaction and acknowledged Vinicius’s ascent to becoming one of the premier players in global football.

Diniz’s primary focus lies in striking a balance and forging unity within the team to establish a competitive edge. He commended the players for their strong camaraderie and emphasized the welcoming environment, especially for newcomers, fostered by both the coaching staff and the players.

Brazil is set to host Venezuela in Cuiaba before facing Uruguay in Montevideo five days later.
