Former Barcelona star Thiago Alcantara is set to retire from football following his exit from Premier League side Liverpool this summer.
Thiago is calling it a day at the grand old age of 33 and after a stellar career that has seen him play for the biggest names in European football.

The midfielder came through the ranks at Barcelona and won all the big prizes during his time with the Catalan giants.
He moved on to Bayern in 2013 and adding to his trophy collection with countless more titles, including a treble during the 2019/20 season.
Thiago’s final club was Liverpool where he only managed 98 appearances as he was hindered by a series of injury problems.
The 33-year-old has been regularly linked with a move back to Barcelona over the year, including this summer as a potential assistant to new coach Hansi Flick.
It remains to be seen exactly what he will do next, but there’s no doubt at all that he is a very special talent who will be missed.
