Oregon football wrapped up spring practice with the annual Spring Game at Autzen Stadium last Saturday. Following the game, head coach Dan Lanning went from football mode to golf mode, all for a good cause.
Lanning was one of 24 current and former college football coaches that participated in the 2024 Southern Company Peach Bowl Challenge in Greensboro, Georgia on Tuesday. The golf tournament was a two-man scramble; Lanning was paired with former Wake Forest and Baylor head coach Jim Grobe. Lanning and Grobe finished in a tie for 9th place.
Each coach played for a charity, Lanning raised $5,000 for the OHSU Foundation Knight Cancer Institute. The total charity purse for the tournament was $300,000. The tournament was won by Florida State head coach Mike Norvell and former Ohio State and Florida head coach Urban Meyer.
