The York-Adams League has announced its girls’ soccer all-stars for the 2024 fall season.
League coaches named 69 players to first and second teams for their respective divisions, with each division also selecting a Player and Coach of the Year. None of the six individual honorees are repeats from last year, although all have made an impact in their programs for multiple seasons. Standout players from division champions Central York, York Suburban and York Catholic were joined by coaches from New Oxford, Suburban and Bermudian Springs.
Central York senior defender Bella Boyce was named Division I Player of the Year after helping lead the Panthers to a repeat Division I title and a York-Adams League tournament championship. Boyce, a University of Kentucky commit, has also been a key cog in Central’s run to the District 3 Class 4A semifinals, where they are set to visit Manheim Township on Tuesday night. New Oxford’s Shawn Miller is the D-I Coach of the Year.
Division II champion York Suburban swept top honors, with junior goalie Stephanie Herrera winning Player of the Year and coach Tom Shugars earning recognition as well. The Trojans unseated Susquehannock atop the division standings, keyed by a head-to-head win over the Warriors late in the season. Herrera is the third Trojan to win POY honors in D-II after former teammate Kirra Hyder went back-to-back in 2022 and 2023.
York Catholic senior defender Bella Breschi helped the Fighting Irish capture the Division III title and earned Player of the Year honors for her efforts. Bermudian Springs’ Olivia Dyksterhouse is the D-III Coach of the Year after leading the Eagles to a 9-0-3 division record, good for second place in the standings.
The league’s senior all-stars will converge for an exhibition game Wednesday, Nov. 13, at York College as part of a doubleheader with the boys’ all-star game.
