World Cup Qualifying in Central Europe Closes with 2 Riders Tied at Top of Standings – Dressage-News

World Cup qualifying competitions in Central Europe came to a close Saturday with Anikó Komjáthy-Losonczy of Hungary and Sandra Sysojeva of Poland tied at the top of the standings each with the maximum of four victories.
Switzerland’s Jessica Neuhauser on the 13-year-old stallion Rockson won the Grand Prix Freestyle on 73.880% in Motesice, Slovakia, the last of 13 qualifiers in the region.
Justina Vanagaite of Lithuania on Nabab, the only Central European in the World Cup event, was runner-up on 73.260%. Justina and the 11-year-old Belgian Warmblood gelding competed at the Paris Olympics, the 2022 World Championships, World Cup Finals in Riyadh earlier this year and Omaha in 2023 as well as the 2021 and 2023 European Championships.
Anikó Komjáthy-Losonczy and Dior S, 16-year-old KWPN gelding that competed at the 2021 and 2023 European Championships, and Sandra Sysojeva and Maxima Bella, eight-year-old Oldenburg mare Maxima Bella that were at the Paris Games, tied at the top of the standings each with 80 points from four victories.
Justina’s total of 74 points tied her with Katarzyna Milczarek of Poland on the 13-year-old Portuguese stallion Guapo for third place.
Two combinations from Central Europe are given two starting places at the Final that is scheduled for Basel, Switzerland next April.1-6.
The North American and Western European leagues are in the early stages of qualifications.
