Columbia, SC – RV South Carolina women’s soccer (6-1-6, 3-1-2) will take on Alabama (8-3-5, 1-1-5) in Stone Stadium on Friday, Oct. 18 at 7 p.m. The game will also be the annual Mental Health Awareness game, with $3 admission to fans who wear green.
LAST TIME OUT
The Gamecocks come off a 2-2 tie on the road against Ole Miss thanks to goals from freshman Katie Shea Collins and fifth-year Cat Barry. Collins opened the game with her goal in the 11th minute thanks to an assist from fifth-year Hallie Meadows. Collins is up to seven goals this year. Barry scored in the 75th minute with her 10th goal of the season. The Gamecocks recorded 13 shots with five on goal. Junior goalkeeper Christina Tsaousis made four saves, bringing her season total to 40.
SCOUTING THE CRIMSON TIDE
Alabama enters the match coming off a 1-0 win at home against Texas A&M. Junior Gianna Paul scored the lone goal of the game in the 21st minute for her 10th of the year. She converted on a cross from sophomore Nadia Ramadan for her third assist of the year. Junior Ellie Lanyi earned her third clean sheet of the season, recording a season-high five saves. South Carolina and Alabama will face each other for the 24th time in program history. The Gamecocks lead the series 17-5-1 and have won seven of the last 10 matchups. The two teams last met in 2022 during the SEC Tournament Championship game. South Carolina won 1-0 thanks to a goal from fifth-year Brianna Behm and an assist from Barry.

Fans will have the option to park in the grass lot behind the Athletic Village Parking Garage, at any of the City of Columbia metered spots located around Stone Stadium (subject to fees required through the ParkMobile app), the Roost parking lot, or the parking lot at the indoor tennis facility. Single-game tickets are now on sale. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for youth 17 and under, and $3 for groups of 15 or more (with pre-purchase).
