In 2022, Pakistan took on England in the final, with the latter winning their second title and becoming just the second team after West Indies to lift the T20 World Cup on multiple occasions.
Here, TSN takes an early look at the odds for each team to win the T20 World Cup 2024.
According to Dafabet, India, the tournament’s first-ever winner, are the favourites to win the latest edition of the T20 World Cup at this stage. Led by Rohit Sharma, and containing stars like Jasprit Bumrah and Virat Kohli, the Men in Blue could be a real handful at the tournament.
2021 winners Australia are second favourites for the cup. Having won the World Test Championship and ODI World Cup in 2023, they will be looking to become the first team to hold all three ICC trophies simultaneously.

Defending champions England come in third. They are a dangerous outfit but have experienced a slight decline in the white-ball format since their victory in 2022. Do not underestimate them, however.
South Africa, New Zealand and Pakistan are all outside shouts to lift the trophy. All three sides have some outstanding players, but have not managed to fully put it together in recent times. Of the three, the Proteas seem best-equipped to mount a title charge but do not rule out the other two.
West Indies have long been known for their powerful batting and prowess in the shortest format of the game. On home turf this time around, they will be looking to win the T20 World Cup for the third time.
