Host nation Germany became the first team to qualify for the round of 16 at Euro 2024 on Wednesday, following up their opening thrashing of Scotland with a 2-0 victory over Hungary in Group A.
Switzerland also look likely to be going through after their draw against the Scots, who must win their last group game against the Hungarians, still pointless, to keep their own hopes alive.
In Group B, an injury-time equaliser for Albania against Croatia means both teams have one point from their opening two fixtures, which means they will have to defeat Spain and Italy respectively on matchday three to stand any chance of progressing.

Both the Spaniards and the Italians have the chance to get to six points, which would be enough to qualify for the knockout rounds, on Thursday, when they face each other in the late game in Gelsenkirchen. Earlier in the day in Group C, a win for England against Denmark will secure their last 16 spot, although the Danes themselves and Slovenia (against Serbia) will be all but through if they emerge victorious.

The group stage for the tournament runs through until Wednesday 26 June, with the knockout rounds starting with the round of 16 on Saturday 29 June and concluding with the final on Sunday 14 July. You can find the full list of games for the tournament here.
