EA Sports’ ‘College Football 25’ video game is only six days away from early launch, and one of the most debated game features has been released.
EA Sports released the player ratings for the top-100 players in the game on Wednesday, with Michigan cornerback Will Johnson occupying the No. 1 spot with a 96 overall rating. He’s listed No. 1 on EA Sports’ rankings, but is tied in player rating with Oklahoma State running back Ollie Gordon II and LSU offensive tackle Will Campbell.

The Wolverines have been well represented in the game after winning the College Football Playoff national championship last season, as running back Donovan Edwards is a part of the cover art for the game alongside Colorado’s Travis Hunter and Texas’ Quinn Ewers.
Johnson, heading into his junior season at Michigan, finished 2023 with 27 total tackles with four interceptions and four pass deflections. He was also named the defensive MVP in the national championship game against Washington, as he intercepted a pass from No. 8 overall pick Michael Penix Jr. on the first play of the second half.
The Detroit native is expected to be among the top prospects available in the 2025 NFL draft after being named to multiple All-America teams last season. Johnson was also the No. 15 overall prospect and No. 3 cornerback in the 2022 recruiting class out of Grosse Pointe South High School, according to 247Sports’ Composite rankings.
