Syracuse, N.Y. — New Syracuse football coach Fran Brown has injected new energy into the Orange program, elevating both the program’s recruiting and its use of transfers within his first few months on the job.
While freshmen are exciting, first-year players capable of being difference-makers directly out of high school at the Power-Five level are rare. Most of the attention for next season should focus on how Brown utilized the transfer portal to improve the Orange roster.
