It’s close to becoming official. Bill Belichick is expected to be on the sideline at Kenan Stadium this fall as the head coach of North Carolina football.
According to multiple reports, UNC is expected to finalize a deal with the 72-year-old Belichick and get final approval from the university’s Board of Trustees on Thursday morning. A six-time Super Bowl champion with nearly 50 years of experience in the NFL, Belichick will be coaching at the college level for the first time in his career as he replaces Mack Brown.
So, what’s the 2025 schedule look like for the Tar Heels and Belichick?

If there’s a spring game, it’ll likely be in mid-to-late April. UNC’s 2024 spring game was April 20 and its 2023 scrimmage was April 15. Belichick’s debut with the Tar Heels would be Aug. 30 against TCU at Kenan Stadium.
