The Copa America 2024 is up and running, with the tournament making a return to U.S. soil for the first time since 2016.
A special edition of the tournament will see 16 teams compete over the next few weeks, with 10 of the traditional powerhouses from the CONMEBOL region going up against six CONCACAF representatives, including Canada and the USA.
For both those sides and Mexico, this will not only be a chance for silverware but also acts as a tune-up for hosting the World Cup in two years’ time.
They will go up against the likes of Lionel Messi and Argentina, Brazil, and tournament heavyweights Uruguay to see who can be crowned the best the Americas has to offer.
The Sporting News will keep you up-to-date with all the games on the schedule each day as the action begins. Here’s the matches you can expect on Day 9 — Friday, June 28.
