For the 88th time, USC football and Washington will square off in a college football game.
But this year’s game will be a little different. Both teams will meet for the first time ever as Big Ten rivals instead of Pac-12 rivals. They both moved conferences this offseason and are in their first year in the Big Ten. However, neither team can claim the season has gone as planned.
Washington (4-4, 2-3 Big Ten) is coming off a national runner-up finish but a 31-17 loss to No. 13 Indiana, which was playing with a backup QB. Year 3 of Lincoln Riley got off to a good start for the Trojans (4-4, 2-4 Big Ten), but the team has struggled in conference play. USC beat Rutgers 42-20 last Friday night.
The series between the Trojans and Huskies began in 1923, with USC holding a 52-31-4 series advantage.
