Amid tragedy in New Orleans, Notre Dame football‘s scheduled College Football Playoff quarterfinal game vs. No. 2 Georgia has been postponed.
The No. 7 Fighting Irish (12-1) initially were scheduled to play against No. 2 Georgia (11-2) in the Sugar Bowl at Caesars Superdome at 8:45 p.m. ET on New Year’s Day in New Orleans. However, following an attack that left a confirmed 10 dead and at least 30 people injured early on New Year’s Day, Sugar Bowl officials elected to postpone the game 24 hours as a security measure, before it was pushed up to 4 p.m. ET.
Here’s how to watch the Notre Dame vs. Georgia quarterfinal game, including time, TV schedule and streaming information:
The Fighting Irish will take on the Bulldogs in a CFP quarterfinal matchup on ESPN. Sean McDonough (play-by-play), Greg McElroy (analyst) and Molly McGrath (sideline analyst) will be on the bowl matchup broadcast.
The game can also be streamed on the ESPN app (with a cable login) or Fubo, which carries the ESPN family of networks and offers select users a free trial.
The game was initially scheduled to take place on New Year’s Day at 8:45 p.m. ET. The game has now been moved to 4 p.m. ET on Thursday due to what has been deemed a terrorist attack that left 10 dead and 35 injured in New Orleans.
Notre Dame and Georgia will play at 4 p.m. ET at Caesars Superdome in New Orleans. The game has been moved to Thursday, Jan. 2 following Wednesday’s attack in New Orleans.
