Notre Dame football starts a two-game stretch from Notre Dame Stadium in Week 8, and it comes on the national stage.
The 11th-ranked Irish (5-1 overall) are traveling down to Atlanta in Week 8 for a neutral-site road game against Georgia Tech (5-2 overall, 3-1 in ACC) at Mercedes-Benz Stadium on Saturday, Oct. 19 at 3:30 p.m. ET.
Marcus Freeman’s squad is most recently coming off steamrolling Stanford 49-7 last Saturday in South Bend. Last week’s win over the Cardinal, which saw contributions from both ends of the ball, also ended up being the best passing game for quarterback Riley Leonard in a Notre Dame uniform. The Duke transfer finished 16 of 22 passing for 229 yards with three touchdowns.
Notre Dame will face Georgia Tech’s backup quarterback Zach Pyron on Saturday per ESPN’s Pete Thamel, as Yellow Jackets starting quarterback Haynes King is “day-to-day” with an upper-body injury.
