West High, Regina and West Branch Appear in First IHSAA Boys Soccer Rankings – Your Prep Sports

A trio of area state tournament qualifiers from last season appeared in the first edition of the Iowa High School Athletic Association’s boys soccer rankings released on Monday.
West High, Regina and West Branch were all ranked in the top six in their respective classes on Monday when the IHSAA released its first set of rankings determined by the official ranking committees made up of former coaches, officials and in-state youth club representation.
Regina (4-1) is second in the Class 1A rankings while West Branch (5-0) is fourth in Class 1A.
The 4A runner-up last season, West High (4-1) is sixth in the first Class 4A rankings of the season.
Top-ranked teams this week are Johnston in Class 4A, Council Bluffs Lewis Central in Class 3A, Gilbert in Class 2A and Grundy Center/Gladbrook-Reinbeck in Class 1A.
