Watertown football team moves up to No. 3 and volleyball team stays No. 5 in state rankings – Watertown Public Opinion

Seven area football and four area volleyball teams are ranked in this week’s South Dakota Prep Media football and volleyball polls.
Watertown (5-2) moved up from No. 4 to No. 3 in this week’s Class 11AA football rankings. Sioux Valley (7-0) is still No. 2 in Class 11B, Hamlin (7-0) No. 2 and Elkton-Lake Benton (7-0)n No. 3 in Class 9AA, Warner (7-0), No. 3 in Class 9A and Faulkton Area (5-2) No. 2 and Dell Rapids St. Mary (6-1) No. 3 in Class 9B.
Ipswich (5-2) receveived votes in Class 9A.
In volleyball, Watertown (17-4) is still No. 4 in Class AA and Warner (20-4) No. 3, Hitchcock-Tulare (23-2) No. 4 and Northwestern (25-5) No. 5 in Class 9B.
Hamlin (Class A, 18-1) and Colman-Egan (Class B, 13-4) also received votes in volleyball.
