After another fun week of the high school soccer season, it’s time to look back on the best performances.
Read about the players who stood out last week and let us know who you think should be the North Jersey Player of the Week in the poll at the bottom of this page.
Voting closes at 5 p.m. Thursday.
The senior finished with two goals on Saturday when the Raiders advanced to the Bergen County final by shutting out Don Bosco, 5-0. Ramapo has now won eight straight games.
On Saturday, Deossa carried the Mustangs to their third Passaic County title in four years by scoring a hat trick in a 6-1 victory over DePaul. The junior had another goal last Tuesday in a 2-1 win over Bergen Catholic.
The senior helped Garfield advance to the Bergen County final for the first time in program history by making nine saves in a 1-0 win over Waldwick. It was the third straight shutout for the Boilermakers.
The junior came through on a penalty kick in double overtime on Saturday to send Ramsey past Ridgewood, 3-2, in the Bergen County semifinals. The win pushes the unbeaten Rams one step closer to their first county title since being named co-champs in 1990.
The junior fired in the only goal for the Raiders in a 1-0 win over Old Tappan in the Bergen County semis. The Fairfield commit now has a team-high 14 goals to go with five assists.
The Rutgers-bound senior poured in three goals on Saturday to lift the Spartans to a 7-1 win over Wayne Hills in the Passaic County final. It was the third straight county title for DePaul, which improved to 16-0 on the season.
