The senior did it all in Piscataway’s 42-13 win over Bayonne in North 1 Group 5. Bodley led the Chiefs’ ground and pound attack with 195 rushing yards on 21 carries and had rushing scores of 40 and 7 yards. He added a 40-yard fumble recovery and an 85-yard kickoff return for scores.
The sophomore quarterback had another big game as the Minutemen topped Morristown 34-33 in North 2 Group 5. Fleming finished 11-for-17 for 189 passing yards, connecting with Antoine Blount on a pair of scores. Fleming also ran 11 times for 108 yards and two rushing scores.
The senior made six visits to the end zone in the Raiders’ 49-20 win over Freehold Township in South Group 5. Jankowicz had 19 carries rushing for 237 yards and five touchdowns and had three catches for 60 yards and a score.
The senior quarterback erupted on the ground with 205 rushing yards on 11 carries and three touchdowns. He also threw a touchdown and snagged an interception on defense as the Pioneers topped Boonton 49-24 in North 2 Group 1.
The junior was 4-for-4 kicking extra points, and connected on field goals of 33 and 29 yards. His overtime extra point made the difference as the Panthers beat Irvington 35-34 in North 2 Group 5.
The senior fullback ran for 178 yards and three touchdowns on 20 carries as the Red Devils pulled out a 22-14 win over Rahway in North 1 Group 4.
The senior quarterback had a stellar all-around game in the Cougars’ 27-22 win over Summit in North 2 Group 3. He was 5-for-13 passing for 183 yards and two touchdowns and had 26 carries for 115 rushing yards and a touchdown.
