Baseball
The Lancers beat Kirkwood twice this week, winning 5-2 April 2 and 12-2 April 3. They also beat Parkway South 5-4 April 5. The Lancers traveled to Columbia on April 6 and beat Raytown South 12-2, but lost to Tolton 13-3. They will go on to play Marquette April 9 and 10 and SLUH April 12.
Boys Golf
The Lancers finished 2nd at the Farmington Invitational, losing only by one stroke. Juniors Mack Freeman, Connor McCown and Anders Thomas and sophomore Austin Rinkenberger all won medals. The Lancers will face Eureka in the Battle of 109 April 9 at St. Alban’s.
Boys Lacrosse
The Lancers lost to Parkway South 14-10 on April 2 and defeated Parkway West 11-9 on April 5. They will host De Smet on April 10 and travel to Priory on April 12.
Girls Lacrosse
The Lady Lancers lost to St. Joseph 15-4 on April 1 and Cor Jesu 17-7 on April 3. They played and lost to Castle and Reitz Memorial in Indiana on April 6. This week they will host John Burroughs on April 10.
Girls Soccer
The Lady Lancers have kept their undefeated streak with two wins this week. They first beat Parkway South 4-0 and then Lindbergh 1-0. Sophomore Gen Newell has not conceded a single goal this season, and the Lady Lancers are 5-0. The Lady Lancers have two away games this week. They will face Marquette April 9 and Kirkwood April 11.
Boys Tennis
At the Mexico, Missouri Tournament, the team had four Lancers place. Senior Hudson Kohler won the rank 1 singles and sophomore Krish Roy won in rank 2 singles. In doubles, senior Lucas Penney and junior Rachit Patel took 2nd. The Lancers have four games this week. They’ll play Webster Groves away, April 8. Then they will play at home against Ladue and De Smet April 9 and 10, both at 4:15 p.m. They will end off their week at the Rockwood Tournament this weekend.
Boys Track
The Lancers finished 1st at the Northwest Invitational last week. The Lancers had three 1st place winners. Seniors Dillon Cronin and Jack Robeson won 1st place in the 1600-meter and 800-meter, respectively. Then junior Robby Preckel broke his own school record to get 1st in javelin. Seniors Christian Erkert and Isaac Jovcevski finished 2nd in javelin and triple jump respectively. The 100-meter relay team of seniors Matt Hoeft, David Marshall and Tinsley and junior Santino Stith finished 2nd. In addition to his 1st in javelin, senior Robby Preckel finished 2nd in shot put. Junior Carl Kind finished 3rd in the 110-meter and 300-meter hurdles. Sophomore Kai Han finished 3rd in the 800-meter and junior Daniel D’Andrea finished 3rd in the 3200-meter. Jovcevski finished 3rd in long jump and Hoeft finished 3rd in high jump. Sophomore Baron James finished 3rd in shot put. Tinsley then got 4th in the 100-meter and Hoeft got 4th in long jump.
Girls Track
The Lady Lancers also finished 1st at the Northwest Invitational. They had 5 events get 1st. Senior Natalie Barnard finished 1st in the 1600-meter and 800-meter. The 400-meter relay consisting of juniors Avery Brown and Lauren Paul and sophomores Kylie Nichols and Chloe Tabb also got gold. Then the 800-meter relay also got 1st with senior Ashley Rinkenberger, Brown, Pauls and freshman Alexis Sandberg. Tabb also won the triple jump. Sophomore Sydney Berger finished 1st in javelin as well. Brown and Pauls also got 2nd in the 400-meter and 800-meter, respectively. Rinkenberger would go on to get 3rd in the 3200-meter later in the meet. Junior Maya Witherspoon also got 3rd in the long jump and triple jump. Sophomore Riley Mulligan finished 4th in Javelin. Nichols and Sandberg finished 5th in the 400-met and 1600-meter and junior Lily Vellines finished 5th in pole vault.
Boys Volleyball
The Lancers are undefeated this season and haven’t dropped a set yet. Last week, they swept Kirkwood, De Smet and Seckman. The Lancers have three games this week. They’ll travel to Marquette April 9 and Eureka April 11. They’ll face Francis Howell at home April 10 at 5:30 p.m.
Boys Water Polo
Against Lindbergh, the Lancers won 14-6. Then the Lancers would finish 3rd at the Founder’s Cup Tournament. They then beat De Smet 13-9, Chaminade 11-9 and then Clayton 11-0. They also tied Kirkwood 11-11. In the 3rd place match, the Lancers beat Parkway West 13-9. This week they’ll have two games. First, the Lancers will face SLUH at home at 5:30 p.m. April 8. Then they’ll face Kirkwood away April 11.
Girls Water Polo
The Lady Lancers lost to Lindbergh 10-6. The Lady Lancers have two conference games this week. They’ll face Oakville at home at 6:30 p.m. April 8 and then will face Pattonville away April 9. Then they’ll play in the Girls Founder’s Cup Tournament over the weekend.
