PORTLAND, Ore. — In 2026, the FIFA Men’s World Cup is coming to Seattle. As part of the celebration, nine cities across Washington have been selected to host official fan zones, including Vancouver.
The Seattle FIFA World Cup 26TM Local Organizing Committee (SeattleFWC26) announced the host cities Tuesday, which also include Bellingham, Bremerton, Everett, Olympia, the Tri-Cities, Spokane, Tacoma and Yakima.
Each fan zone during the Seattle FIFA World Cup matches may feature live entertainment, interactive fan activities, food and beverages. The exact locations for the fan zones will be announced at a future date.
A total of six World Cup matches will be hosted at Lumen Field in Seattle, including the U.S. national team’s second ground stage game and two knockout games. The full schedule of FIFA Men’s World Cup 2026 can be found here.
“Vancouver, WA is thrilled to be part of the FIFA World Cup in 2026,” Vancouver Mayor Anne McEnerny-Ogle said. “We’re hoping to create an electric atmosphere for soccer fans to take in the excitement of the matches as part of the fan zone experience. We’re also looking forward to showcasing the first Vancouver to the World Cup community.”
The 2026 FIFA World will be the biggest-ever geographically, with host cities spread across North America, and matches taking place in the U.S., Mexico and Canada — including in Vancouver B.C., which is scheduled to host the country’s second-ever World Cup match on June 13, two days before the first match in Seattle.
“I’m thrilled to invite you to our official FIFA World Cup Fan Zone, a Washington state fan destination for FIFA World Cup 2026,” McEnerny-Ogle said in an announcement video. “In Vancouver, our fan zone will be designed for soccer fanatics of all ages, walks of life, and abilities to enjoy.”
