Van Laanen collects NACC Men's Soccer Defensive Award – Edgewood College Eagles


Men’s Soccer
MILWAUKEE – Edgewood College junior goalkeeper Maverick Van Laanen has been named the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Men’s Soccer Defensive Student-Athlete of the Week, the league office announced Tuesday morning.
Van Laanen recorded two shutout wins in a 2-0 week for the Eagles. The junior didn’t allow a goal, recording his best performance against Dominican. Van Laanen posted seven saves to hold the Stars scoreless.
Van Laanen and the Eagles will head to Concordia Chicago on Wednesday. Action is set for 2:00 p.m. from River Forest, Ill.
