KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Student tickets for the University of Tennessee’s football games have been $10 in previous years, for this upcoming season, the price has doubled.
According to the university, student tickets will be $20 for those who wish to attend home games. That fee is only paid if the students get chosen to attend the games through the university’s ticket lottery system.
“Student tickets are located in sections D-K in Neyland. This area has bench seating and holds approximately 11,500 people,” the university said on its website.
Eligible students must request tickets during a ticket window if they wish to attend the games, with the chance to be chosen in two ticket phases. If chosen in the ticket phases, only then are students eligible to purchase a ticket at the doubled price.
Students can opt-in on the university’s website to receive reminders about when to request those tickets.
“Additionally after students have requested a ticket, emails will be sent to inform students of where they stand at each step of the process,” the university said.
