University of South Dakota football holds Spring scrimmage – KTIV Siouxland's News Channel

VERMILLION, SD (KTIV) – Saturday afternoon the University of South Dakota Coyotes held their Spring scrimmage. Head Coach of the Yotes, Bob Nielson talked about the importance of extra reps to evaluate the team’s young talent.
“Well, you’re really looking at what your younger guys are doing they’re going to get a majority of the reps a lot of guys that we haled that didn’t get many reps today we want to see how far those guys have come along and where you feel those guys will be able to impact the future of your football team in the fall,” said Nielson.
The Coyotes open their season on August 29th against Northern State. Kick is set for 7pm in Vermillion.
