Ukraine’s luge team has won a bronze medal in the relay event at the World Cup, which is being held in Sigulda, Latvia.

Details: The team (Yulianna Tunytska, Ihor Hoi/Nazarii Kachmar, Andrii Mandzii and Olena Stetskiv/Oleksandra Mokh) finished third behind Germany and Austria, who secured first and second place respectively.
Results:
None of the other teams finished the race.
This is Ukraine’s ninth Luge World Cup medal, and its first since the 2008/09 season.
Background: In mid-December, the Ukrainian luge team competed in the third stage of the World Cup in Oberhof, Germany.
