UEFA and FIFA threaten excluding Italian teams and revoking EURO 2032 rights – Football Italia

Italy risks anything from huge fines to exclusion from FIFA and UEFA tournaments and even the revocation of hosting rights for EURO 2032 if Government is allowed to interfere in sport.
The warning came in a joint letter from FIFA and UEFA that was sent to the FIGC (Italian Football Federation).
The cause of it all is something called the Mulè Amendment, a proposal from Forza Italia politician Giorgio Mulè as part of the general Sport Decree.
It would allow clubs and even players to effectively bypass the sporting justice system and appeal directly to the TAR tribunal.
This is seen by FIFA and UEFA as giving the Government undue influence over sport and removing the autonomy of the sporting justice system.
It is part of an Italian push for the Lega Serie A, Serie B and Lega Pro to break away from the FIGC, a sort of copy of the way the Premier League broke away from the Football Association.
The amendment has already caused more than enough controversy in Italy even before the letter from FIFA and UEFA, so will likely be reformulated.
As confirmed by La Repubblica and Sky Sport Italia, the letter from UEFA President Aleksandar Ceferin to Minister for Sport Andrea Abodi warns that “if the text remains the same, we would have to exclude Italian teams from European cup competition.”
It could also prompt them to revoke Italy’s hosting rights – alongside Turkey – for EURO 2032.

Yet, the English EPL and FA gets away with similar stipulations without much by way of consequences from UEFA and FiFA. Wonder why?
Answer: $
But a world cup in Saudi Arabia is perfectly legit. Fifa are a bunch of corrupt muppets
Like Vittorio said, it is all about money. Why doesn’t FIFA exclude the English Leagues, they provide lots of money.
Fifa has become a business concern 😟. You pay and they close their eyes.
Because Vittitro and Manny the English government do not have a written law to interfer with our football. Read the article
It’s uefa trying to maintain it’s monopoly, much like FIFA they fear government interference as they continue to operate outside any form of institution that can implement fair governance to them. Uefa and FIFA don’t want any form of democracy…
Ps the comparisons with the premier league aren’t applicable in the above comments, they don’t “get away with anything” in uefas eyes.
