EAST HARTFORD, Conn. — UConn football fans can sleep better knowing what time six of the team’s seven home games will start during the 2024 season.
UConn football returns to Rentschler Field at Pratt & Whitney Stadium in East Hartford this fall, its off-campus home since 2003. A release from the university on Thursday informed fans of the official game times.
The 2024 campaign will be the fourth season for UConn football on CBS Sports Network, the release said. The kickoff time for the first home game, on Sept. 7 against Merrimack, was not announced as part of the release and does not appear to be televised by CBS Sports Network.

After being on the road for two of the first three weeks, UConn will play an unprecedented stretch of six consecutive home games in East Hartford, all of which will be broadcast on CBS Sports Network, according to the release.
The lineup of CBS Sports Network games begins on Saturday, Sept. 21, when the Huskies take on the Florida Atlantic Owls at 7 p.m. Seven days later, on Saturday, Sept. 28, UConn will host the Buffalo Bulls at noon.
The following week, it’s more Owls, as on Saturday, Oct. 5, UConn will host Temple at 3:30 p.m.

After a bye week, the Huskies will face off against the Wake Forest Demon Deacons at noon on Saturday, Oct. 19. The next week, on Saturday, Oct. 26, UConn will host even more Owls as Rice travels to Rentschler.
Senior Day and the final home game of the year will occur on Friday, Nov. 1, as UConn plays the Georgia State Panthers at 7 p.m. in East Hartford.
The release said that a kick-off time and television broadcast information for the Merrimack game on Sept. 7 will be announced at a later date.

In addition to the announcement of the home game start times, the release said that the Huskies learned the road game times and TV providers for early season matchups against Maryland and Duke.
UConn opens the season on the University of Maryland campus against the Terrapins on Saturday, Aug. 31 in a noon game that will be broadcast on FS1. Two weeks later, on Saturday, Sept. 14, the Huskies will travel to North Carolina to play the Duke Blue Devils in a 6 p.m. game that will be televised on the ACC Network Extra and ESPN+.
