U-High forced to forfeit many football victories amid allegations – WAFB

BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB)— A powerhouse high school football program in the city is forced to forfeit seven games after rumors circulated that the school allegedly played ineligible players.
According to The Advocate, the forfeits leave the U-High Cubs with a 0-9 record going into a Week 10 game with Port Allen. U-High was ranked No. 1 in the LSWA’s Class 3A poll until last week’s loss to Madison Prep.
One major result of the forfeits is that fifth-ranked Catholic High (8-0, 4-0) of Class 5A will now enter Thursday’s District 4-5A game with No. 10 Zachary (6-2, 3-1) with an unbeaten record.
The Cubs had beaten the Bears 27-21 in overtime back on September 20th.
The LHSAA confirms to WAFB-TV that a ruling was made against U-High Monday, but per the organization’s policy, details on that ruling were not shared. But these power rankings indeed reflect a 0-9 record.
