AFC Bournemouth continued to show no fear in English Premier League play on Sunday.
Adams started and played 89 minutes as Bournemouth defeated Manchester United 3-0 at Old Trafford. It marked Adams’ first start for the Cherries since December 5 and his eighth league appearance of the season.
Dean Huijsen propelled Andoni Iraola’s men in front after 29 minutes, giving the visitors a 1-0 lead.
Justin Kluivert extended Bournemouth’s lead from the penalty spot in the 61st minute before Antoine Semenyo made it 3-0 only two minutes later.
The 25-year-old Adams led all players in tackles completed (4), while also winning seven duels and making three interceptions. He continued to play an important role in front of Bournemouth’s backline, covering ample ground on both ends of the field.
Bournemouth has won its last two road matches at Old Trafford and are up to fifth place in the league standings.
The Cherries will host Crystal Palace on Boxing Day before visiting Fulham on Dec. 29.
