STARKVILLE — Mississippi State true freshman wide receivers Mario Craver and JJ Harrell were arrested by Mississippi State University police Monday night for possession of marijuana in a vehicle and possession of beer by a minor, according to Oktibbeha County Sheriff’s Office arrests records.
“We’re aware of the matter and are continuing to gather information. We have no further comment at this time,” Mississippi State head coach Jeff Lebby said in a released statement to media.
GenesPage.com has also reached out to the arresting agency for incident reports, but has not received those as of this report.
Craver, a four-star recruit from Clay-Chalkville High School in Pinson, Alabama, and Harrell, a four-star from Sardis, signed with the Bulldogs this past December as part of Lebby’s first recruiting class at Mississippi State. Both players early-enrolled in January, and participated in Mississippi State’s spring camp, which ended on April 20.
