BANGOR, Maine (WABI) – Two Bangor girls soccer players earned spots on coaches’ association all-star teams after helping to lead the Rams to the Class A State Championship.
Teagan Atherley is an All-American, while Clara Oldenburg made All-New England Region.
Both players were happy to represent the program that’s helped them reach this level.
“They have helped me grow throughout my whole life. Honestly, I’ve been playing soccer with all of them since I can remember. I think it’s really cool that they’ve been with me through this whole journey,” said Atherley, senior midfielder.
“It feels great. I’m really excited about it. It’s really cool. Our whole team worked hard to win the state championship. Our whole team came to practice every day and worked hard. Also, the coaches, teammates, and my family made it all possible,” said Oldenburg, junior midfielder.
Atherley and Oldenburg were recognized at the Maine soccer banquet earlier this month.
