FIFA World Cup Qualifiers
Dilpreet Singh
This fixture will be the third match for both the teams in Group H of FIFA World Cup African qualifiers. Tunisia have managed to win both of their matches in the group so far while Equatorial Guinea have failed to win any. If we see matches, other than just these qualifiers, Tunisia and Equatorial Guinea have both performed considerably well.
Both teams are capable of posing a considerable threat to their opponents. Looking at their FIFA rankings, Tunisia stands at 41 whereas Equatorial Guinea stands at 79. The hosts have played their last three matches against tough teams, New Zealand, South Africa and Croatia, and are likely to have better preparation for this game.
Thursday, 6 June at 12:30 AM (IST)
Location: Stade Olympique Hammadi Agrebi, Rades, Tunisia
Tunisia (All Competitions): W-L-D-D-L
Equatorial Guinea (All Competitions): L-W-L-W-W
This 25-year-old midfielder, who plays as a forward for the Tunisia national team is one of the most important players in the squad. Elias Achouri currently plays for F.C. Copenhagen in the Superliga. While playing for Copenhagen, in the Superliga and Champions League, Achouri has scored four goals in 29 matches and a single goal in 13 matches, respectively.
Oscar Siafa is one of the most talented players on the Equatorial Guinea squad. Currently, Siafa plays for US Allesandia Calcia in the Serie C league. The player has scored three goals in 24 matches in the league, all while receiving four yellow cards. Although he hasn’t been given a lot of chances in the national team recently, as Emilio Nsue is not present, Siafa might get the chance to prove himself here.
Raki Aouani, a 19-year-old striker, might play for the hosts and make his senior team debut.
Under Juan Micha’s management, Equatorial Guinea will be looking forward to getting back on track for World Cup qualifiers with their first win. Their top player Nsue is ruled out, and the effects can be seen, because he was the highest goal scorer for them.
Matches: 9

Tunisia are in a better position right now as compared to Equatorial Guinea. The prime reason behind this can be the ruling out of Emilio Nsue for the visitors. The hosts are likely to win the match and looking at the conditions, there are a lot of chances that Equatorial Guinea won’t even score a single goal.
