TROY, Ala. (TROJANVISION) — This past weekend, TROY football fans got to see their team on the gridiron for the first time since it won its second consecutive Sun Belt Championship back in December.
This was also the first time that fans got to see new head coach Gerad Parker’s coaching ability, as well as what he’s been able to produce behind the scenes so far.
Rather than the original eleven on eleven football experience everyone is familiar with, the Spring game served more as a talent showcase with the offense and defense facing off against each other, with multiple showcases including one-on-one’s with receivers and defensive backs, and punters trying to land as many kicks inside the five yard line.

There were also special guest appearances, such as former quarterback Gunnar Watson, who helped lead Troy to back-to-back Sun Belt Championships in 2022 and 2023.
When it was all said and done, the defense outed the offense by 13 points, bringing the final to 154-141.
