After recording back-to-back stalemates in their recent CAF 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers, Togo will aim to get back to winning ways when they face DR Congo at Stade des Martyrs on Sunday evening.
Kick-off is at 6:00pm
As mentioned, Togo head into their next qualifying assignment on the back of three consecutive draws in Group B.
The Sparrowhawks faced Sudan in their first qualifying fixture and recorded a 1-1 draw at the  Martyrs of February Stadium on the 16th of November last year.  Togo then faced African giants Senegal five days later, where the two nations fired blanks in a 0-0 stalemate.
In their tie, Togo faced South Sudan at Stade de Kegue this past Wednesday and recorded a 1-1 draw in the process. With three points to their name after three matches, Togo currently occupy 4th place in Group B.
As for DR Congo, the Leopards go into their next fixture on the back of a 1-1 draw with the Lions of Teranga.
Their form in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers consists of a 1-0 defeat against Sudan, which took place on the 19th of November 2023 and also, a 2-0 win against Mauritania Stade des Martyrs de la Pentecôte on the 15th of November 2023.
As it stands, DR Congo sit in 3rd position in Group B after three matches played.
