Greetings from Chicago, where I’m spending a few days to visit my family. My dad is 95 and the only time he has been to Las Vegas was on his way to the 1949 Rose Bowl with the Northwestern marching band.
I hit town just in time catch the Bears’ mesmerizing 6-3 loss to the non-covering Seahawks (-4/-4.5). Yeah, that went Under.
The Thursday Night game was also big for Circa Survivor as 20 entries were riding on the Seahawks and 6 on the Bears, so we’re down to 34 heading to Part II of Week 17.

The Circa Friday Football Invitational heads into the final two weeks of the contest with Las Vegas pro bettor Chuck Edel in position to clinch the $15K first prize a week early.
Week 16 ended with three contestants eliminated – Circa Survivor winner Chris Piper, former ESPN host Doug Kezirian and former VSiN host James Salinas – to get to the final eight handicappers competing for $25,000 put up by Circa owner Derek Stevens in a weekly NFL and college football pick’em contest.
Edel leads Las Vegas handicapper Alex White by seven points as you can see by the standings above with Weston Stradtman, last year’s Average Joe, in third.
