T20 World Cup Opening Ceremony, All You Need To Know: Timings, Performers And Broadcast Details – Wisden

The opening ceremony for the Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 will take place on the June 2, the day after the first match. Here’s all you need to know about the ceremony, including timings, broadcasters and performer details.
The first match of the tournament will take place on June 1, with co-hosts USA and Canada playing each other in Dallas, Texas. The opening ceremony, however, will take place in Guyana ahead of the second match, in which co-hosts West Indies will start their campaign against Papua New Guinea. A number of performers have been booked for the event which will start two hours before the first ball is sent down.

There are currently no available details on when the ceremony will start but gates to the ground will open at 8:30am local time, with the match due to start at 10:30am. The ceremony will take place within that two hour window.
Several DJs and singers from the Caribbean have been confirmed to perform at the ceremony, including David Rudder, Ravi B, Erphaan Alves, DJ Ana and Ultra.
