Soccer Game Recap: Lexington vs. Northwest – MaxPreps

Lexington was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Northwest Vikings. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Lexington of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair’s previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2023.
Lexington’s loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Northwest, they pushed their record up to 6-2 with that victory, which was their fourth straight at home.
Lexington will head out on the road to challenge Crete at 3:15 p.m. on Saturday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Nebraska (Lexington is ranked 58th, while Crete is ranked 55th). As for Northwest, they will look to defend their home pitch on Monday against Scotus at 5:30 p.m.
