Soccer Game Recap: Hidden Valley vs. Blacksburg – MaxPreps

Hidden Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Blacksburg Bruins. While losing is never fun, Hidden Valley can’t take it too hard given the team’s big disadvantage in MaxPreps’ Virginia soccer rankings (they are ranked 62nd, while Blacksburg is ranked third).
Hidden Valley’s defeat dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Blacksburg, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they’ve won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 7-0-2 record this season.
Hidden Valley will head out on the road to square off against Cave Spring at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Cave Spring is coming into the game with three straight losses at home, meaning Hidden Valley will have to defend against a team hungry for a victory. Blacksburg will take on Christiansburg at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Blacksburg’s defense has only allowed 0.1 goals per game this season, so Christiansburg’s offense will have their work cut out for them.
