Area Prep Soccer Report for Thursday, Dec. 12
In boys prep soccer action Wednesday, Brother Martin downed Chalmette 6-1 in the District 8-1 opener for both teams.
Senior Dallas Cordoba and sophomore Nathan Wellman each scored a pair of goals while junior Gavin Hardie and senior Ethan Pauli each added a goal.
The Crusaders (5-3-3) will play Dunham in Baton Rouge Friday.
The Owls (2-3) host Sophie B. Wright Friday.
In girls action, Haynes Academy defeated New Orleans Military & Maritime 4-1.
The Yellow Jackets led 1-0 at halftime before taking control in the second half.
Senior Kalyn Bibbins scored a pair of goals while senior Ella Lewis and junior Alexis Martin each had a goal for Haynes. Sophomore Evie Boyd, junior Elyse Medina and freshman Pearlin Shathiyakkumar each had an assist.
