Latvia hosted the last Skeleton World Cup competition of 2024
Great Britain won Skeleton World Cup gold and silver as Marcus Wyatt beat team-mate Matt Weston to victory in Latvia.
It is only the second time two British men have occupied the top two places in a World Cup race, after Weston edged Wyatt to gold at the same track two seasons ago.
The win was Wyatt's second World Cup triumph and first since November 2022.
Great Britain have won 13 World Cup medals so far this season, equalling the record tally achieved in 2022-23.
Wyatt added gold to the two silver medals he won in PyeongChang, South Korea in November and bronze he claimed in Altenberg, Germany last week.
The 33-year-old, who won the European title last season with a second-place World Cup finish behind China's Zheng Yin in Latvia, beat Weston by a quarter of a second in a two-run time of 1 minute 39.51 seconds.
Weston has won a medal in every World Cup race this season following bronze in PyeongChang and silvers in Beijing and Altenberg.
Great Britain go into the Christmas break with the top two athletes in the world – Wyatt is seven points clear of Weston after previous leader Christopher Grotheer missed Friday's racing.
The next Skeleton World Cup meeting is in Winterberg, Germany on 3 January.
