Skechers is continuing its push into the soccer category and adding another a global sensation to its growing roster of athletes in the sport.
The brand announced Thursday that it has signed West Ham United and Ghana National Team winger Mohammed Kudus as a Skechers athlete. Kudus, who has already been wearing the Skechers Razor, will be featured as a brand ambassador in a multi-platform marketing campaign.
The news represents the latest push into the soccer category for Skechers, which last year commenced its official entry into the soccer category with the signing of striker Harry Kane. In addition to signing Kudus, Skechers will launch its “Evolution Pack,” a new colorway of its boots meant to celebrate the first anniversary of Skechers entering soccer.

Kudos began his professional career at age 18 with the Danish club Nordsjælland after training at an academy in Ghana. He then signed with Eredivisie club Ajax and eventually moved to the Premier League club West Ham United in 2023. Since 2019, he made 32 appearances with Ghana and has scored 11 goals at the international level. He has been awarded as Eredivisie Team of the Month four times, Confederation of African Football (CAF) Team of the Year and Ghana Footballer of the Year in 2023.

“Mohammed Kudus is a sensational player loved by fans around the world, and at age 23 is already known for his talent on the pitch, so he’s the ideal athlete for Skechers,” said Skechers Performance vice president of product development and merchandising Greg Smith. “Along with Harry Kane and our entire team of elite athletes, it’s clear that many of the best and brightest players in the world want to wear comfort that performs. Skechers Football boots offer innovation, performance and comfort that is unmatched on the pitch. As we grow our roster, we’re introducing an expanded range of boots with Academy and Youth styles this summer—a true evolution for Skechers Football going into our second season on the pitch.”
Skechers’ soccer collection, which launched last summer, includes three boot styles in several colorways for men and women. The Razor is a lightweight boot with a carbon-infused soleplate that emphasizes agility. The SKX_01 is made for striking and features a custom last designed for comfort and performance.

Skechers said it plans to launch a line of “entry boots” for players at various levels, as well as a kids line.
“I’ve been testing and competing in the Skechers Razor for a while now and it’s evident to me that this is the best and most comfortable boot I’ve ever worn,” said Kudus said in a statement. “It’s the right time to make it official with Skechers, and I look forward to working with their team to help introduce this incredible brand to more players as they take Skechers Football around the world.”
Since beginning its major push into soccer last year with the signing of Bayern Munich striker Harry Kane, Skechers has bolstered its roster with players like Premier League Arsenal and Ukrainian National Team defender Oleksandr Zinchenko and Nottingham Forest and Swedish National Team forward Anthony Elanga.
Skechers’ soccer collection can be found on the company’s websites and in certain Skechers and specialty retail stores across the UK, Europe and the U.S.
