The Saucon Valley girls soccer team had unlucky moments on either end of the field early on in its Colonial League semifinal against Moravian Academy.
The Panthers narrowly missed a chance to take the lead less than nine minutes in when senior Ava Riehl’s penalty kick clipped the crossbar and went out of play.
About three and a half minutes later, the Lions took the lead when an awkward shot off a corner kick just went over the line.
