Group A
Isla San Sebastian registered their first win in the competition, winning 6-1 against USAC FP. The Guatemalan side initially took the lead in the match through Peralta, but a hat-trick from Flores, a brace courtesy of Martínez and strike from Vasquez made the difference for the team from El Salvador.
Barra de Santiago met Santa Cruz in the final Group A fixture, with both sides heading into the game with two wins each. It was the American side who took control from the outset, leading 2-0 after 12 minutes. Despite a long-range strike from Camacho in the second period for Barra de Santiago, Santa Cruz found two more goals to secure victory.
Group B
An 18-goal thriller took place in the first Group B match of the day as Apulo Ilopango registered their first victory of this year’s competition, defeating FP Riviera Maya 12-6. Despite the defeat for the Mexican side, their striker Filipov became the first player to score five goals in a match in this year’s competition.
La Pirraya continued their winning form in their second match against Yunis Limón. Two goals from Gonzalez Quinteros and a third period strike from Chavez Melendez ensured the Salvadoran side moved up to six points in Group B.
Group C
Pioneros FP claimed their second victory of the competition after coming from 2-0 down to win 4-2 against Puntarenas FC. Goalkeeper Anderson Crespo got the scoring started for the Guatemalan side with a fantastic strike from range in the second period, before Berny Marroquin, Marco Ibarra and Jose Lem all found the net in the third and final period.
