Tommy Carr will be stepping into the spotlight this season and college football coaches are beginning to show interest before he takes over the reins at quarterback for Saline.
Tommy, the younger brother of former Saline star and now Notre Dame freshman quarterback, CJ, announced Monday morning he had received a Division I offer from Bowling Green.
The offer from BGSU is Tommy’s first offer with more likely to come as he enters his junior year and first as a starter for the Hornets.
The 6-foot-3, 160-pound junior signal caller served last season as the backup to his brother CJ, who was an all-state quarterback and 4-star recruit last year.
In limited action, Tommy completed nearly 90% of his passes and rushed for two es as the backup on varsity.
Tommy will take over the Hornets’ offense that averaged more than 40 points last season and will be entering its first year under new head coach Kyle Short.
