Saint Lucia Prepares for CONCACAF Boys Under-17 World Cup Qualifiers – The Voice St. Lucia

THE CONCACAF Boys Under-17 World Cup Qualifiers are coming up next year, and Saint Lucia is getting ready to compete.
The team is undergoing intense training sessions organized by the Saint Lucia Football Association (SLFA) Inc. in anticipation of this significant competition.
Along with Jamaica, El Salvador, and the Cayman Islands, Saint Lucia has been assigned to Group H.
The SLFA has implemented a series of Zonal Trials for players that fit the following requirements in order to find the greatest talent.
Players must have a valid Saint Lucian passport  and must have been born on or after January 1, 2008
Zonal and League Presidents are responsible for making sure all players within their authority meet these standards and attend the trial sessions, according to an SLFA representative. On October 29, the Northern Zone kicked off the trials at the Corinth Playing Field.
Southern Zone: Phillip Marcellin Grounds, Vieux Fort, Wednesday, October 30
Eastern Zone: SLFA Inc. Technical Center, Thursday, October 31
Western Zone: Anse La Raye Playing Field on Friday, November 1.
Additionally, SLFA Inc. has arranged a number of trial sessions for Under 13 girls at different Member League locations throughout the island in order to strengthen national potential for the forthcoming Girls Championships.
From Saturday, November 2 until approximately November 17, trials will take place in each District (Member League), with 18 locations announced. SLFA Inc.-designated coaches will oversee the selection procedure.
Member Leagues are responsible for making sure girls are aware of the trials and arrive on time. A final trial session will be held for the chosen participants at a later time that will be disclosed.
Girls must be born on or after January 1, 2012, in order to be considered for selection. A suitable playing surface for the sessions must be provided by each Member League.
The individual leagues’ readiness and preparation for competition participation will be supervised by SLFA Technical Director Cyril Podd.
