Coming off a much-needed bye week, Rutgers football has four games remaining, starting with today’s contest against Minnesota at SHI Stadium.
The Scarlet Knights have been badly banged up this season, especially on defense. Coach Greg Schiano said Monday that the week off might’ve allowed some players to get somewhat healthier, but also acknowledged some injuries won’t fully heal until after the season.
Regardless, Rutgers needs a victory − the Scarlet Knights are on a four-game losing streak. Today they’ll be playing a Minnesota team that’s on a four-game winning streak.
Rutgers also needs two wins to earn bowl eligibility for a second-straight season.

Prediction: Minnesota, as Schiano said Monday, is one of the hottest teams in the country. Momentum can make a big difference, and Rutgers hasn’t had much of that in recent weeks.
