Rob McElhenney is bringing his passion for America’s favorite pastime across the pond with a collab between Major League Baseball and Wrexham AFC, the Welsh soccer team he owns with Ryan Reynolds.
To promote MLB’s 2024 London Series in June between McElhenney’s beloved Philadelphia Phillies and the New York Mets, the baseball mascots joined Wrex the Dragon at a Wrexham game in March, much to the delight and confusion of fans.
A video features McElhenney, hot dogs, lots of sports humor and maybe a Jimmy Kimmel cameo:

Yeah, that was Jimmy.
Created by McElhenney’s More Better Industries, a version of the ad will run during MLB broadcasts on FS1, ESPN and MLB TV.
“More Better has been in talks with Major League Baseball about how to work together for a while,” a company rep tells Muse. “Rob had this great idea and the timing just made sense to make it happen.”
McElhenney will appear on Jimmy Kimmel Live! tonight to promote the new season of Welcome to Wrexham, dropping in May.
