Real Madrid find themselves in a very difficult situation right now. Their start to the season has been nothing to write home about. They have lost twice in the Champions League in the first four games and were handed a 4-0 defeat by FC Barcelona at Santiago Bernabeu in the first El Clasico of the campaign.
Kylian Mbappe has not found his feet since joining the club. Jude Bellingham seems to be struggling to match the impact he made last season. Rodrygo has been in and out of the team.
On top of that, they have a mountain of injury problems to deal with. In the past, Carlo Ancelotti has done a superb job of not letting this have an effect on the results but even the Italian can pull rabbits out of his magic hat only so many times.
Real Madrid could do with another option in midfield as well. Toni Kroos retired at the end of last season. On the other hand, Aurelien Tchouameni has not been the most convincing.
As reported by SPORT, Real Madrid or Manchester United, for example, are teams that could look at N'Golo Kante due to different circumstances. Al-Ittihad could be ready to part ways for a €15 million transfer fee for the 33-year-old French World Cup winner.
Of course, Kante is no stranger to top level football. He won the Premier League with Leicester City, multiple trophies with Chelsea including the Champions League and the World Cup with France.
Before departing Chelsea, there had been question marks over his fitness as he was constantly getting injured. But he seems to be back in good shape once again at Al-Ittihad. He also proved his ability to still perform against top players by becoming a central figure for France at the recent EUROs.
