Raphael Varane is ‘in talks’ with a new club and could soon link up with a Manchester United legend ahead of his departure from Old Trafford, according to stunning reports.
The 31-year-old Manchester United defender is out of contract on 30th June and Raphael Varane has confirmed he will leave the club in the summer.
Varane’s influence in the 2023-24 season was curtailed due to injuries, with the former Real Madrid star managing 32 appearances across all competitions.
The United star was a key figure for Erik ten Hag in the Dutchman’s debut season at Old Trafford, with Varane forging a formidable partnership with Lisandro Martinez.
But Lisandro Martinez, much like Varane, struggled with injuries last season and Erik ten Hag was left without his first-choice United centre-back pairing.
Varane and Martinez were able to reunite one final time and the pair impressed with their performances in United’s 2-1 win over Manchester City in the FA Cup final.

Raphael Varane first arrived at Old Trafford in 2021 after the Red Devils signed him from Real Madrid for an initial £34m fee.
The 2018 World Cup winner has impressed at times during his spell at United, but Varane has had to contend with injuries while at Old Trafford.
German Garcia Grova on X, formerly known as Twitter, has now reported that Varane is ‘in talks’ with a new club ahead of becoming a free agent.
Varane has now been linked with MLS outfit Inter Miami, with United legend David Beckham a co-owner and president of the club.
David Beckham’s Inter Miami have attracted several big-name players, including the likes of Barcelona legend Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez, Sergio Busquets and Jordi Alba.
Varane has previously hinted that he remains unsure where his future in club football lies next, but the United star refused to rule out one possible destination.

Varane posted a heartfelt message to United fans in May after the former France international confirmed he would leave Old Trafford in the summer.
“The first time I went to Old Trafford as a Man United player was insane, the atmosphere was amazing,” he said in a video on X.
“I fell in love with the club, with the fans. You have to play for Man United to understand what that represents.
“For my kids, it’s home here. It’s going to be a special place for me, for life.
“When the fans went to Wembley [last season], it’s something they will remember for life. To share that moment with them was absolutely amazing.”
